Slowest News Day Ever of the Day: A man in North Texas claims he accidentally came across a racial slur in the classic Jim Henson kids show Fraggle Rock that has gone unnoticed for nearly three decades.

“I heard him say Jigaboo,” Keith White said, referring to a Fraggle Rock character named Wembley. The Hub, which aired the episode in question, told CW33 News Wembley is actually saying “gee, Gobo” — Gobo being the name of the show’s protagonist — and sent them the original script to verify.

The Jim Henson Company confirmed The Hub’s explanation.

Nonetheless, the network has decided to censor out Gobo’s name from that line in future airings to avoid any further confusion. White took the move as a sign of vindication.

“Why would you edit, if it`s a mistake?,” he said. “Why are you going to edit it out? Are you hearing the same thing?”
